Durango Personal Care is happy to provide seniors with non-medical in-home caregiving services, tailoring our services to their unique needs. We understand and respect that a sense of independence is vital to seniors, and it’s that understanding that forms the foundation of everything we do.

Here at At Durango Personal Care, we can lend a helping hand, whether your senior loved one finds it challenging to live at home safely by themselves, or just needs assistance with a few tasks such as housekeeping or meal prep.

Finding a caregiver for your senior loved one can seem overwhelming at first. You likely have a lot of questions. No worries: we have the answers. Here are some of the questions we are asked a lot:


Is it possible to adjust my service or schedule?

You have complete control over the service!! That is something we anticipate and encourage when you need to adapt the service to your needs. If possible, please give us at least 24h notice. so that we can adjust our complex schedule puzzle. Remember that caregivers also have their own personal lives that they sometimes cannot adjust on short notice. In this case we will try to send another of our experienced caregivers.

How do you manage your caregivers?

Our technology platform allows us to track when a Caregiver starts a shift, follows their care plan, and ends the shift.

Will I have the same caregiver every time?

We aim to keep the same employees, but we also must keep track of a client’s expenses and avoid caregiver’s overtime. Even caregivers sometimes need time off from their hard work. Then we will have to use someone else temporarily.

What if my caregiver isn’t the right fit for me?

Simply notify us!! Because personalities do not always match, we will find the perfect match!!

Are the caregivers insured, bonded, licensed, and screened?

We conduct six background checks, and all caregivers are insured and bonded. In this way, we go far beyond the legal requirements. In the state of Texas, there is no certification for caregivers.

What should you do if the caregiver does not appear to work?

It unfortunately does occur, but we will get you an alternate ASAP! Please contact us right away! Our online-tracking system will notify us in parallel, too. So, if the caregiver isn’t at your house 10 minutes after scheduled shift start, the office will be informed by our online platform automatically and be working on a solution.

What if I do not get along with the caregiver?

Please contact our office at any time. We will then start looking for a better match for you as soon as possible!

If we have an emergency after hours, who will answer the phone?

We have someone on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Is the Agency authorized?

Yes! We meet all of the requirements set forth by the State of Nevada.
